Kyrie Irving has been the topic of a lot of conversation in recent weeks.
Earlier this week a report surfaced suggesting the Brooklyn Nets were tired of Irving’s antics and open to trading him. Prior to that, he was involved in a messy situation that had some calling for his arrest.
Be it because of all those things, or for other reasons entirely, the 29-year-old recently opted to post a fairly cryptic message to Instagram.
The message largely speaks for itself:

“Write it down, work in silence, then make it look effortless,” the caption noted.
Is that in response to the trade rumors? The fan backlash? Something else entirely?
It’s impossible to say for certain.

Next season promises to be an important one for Irving. If he can help lead the Nets to a championship, all his past sins will be forgotten.
If not, the same old question that’s been haunting him for years now will bubble back up to the surface: is Irving more trouble than he’s worth?
Buckle up, the 2021-22 season will be a crazy ride.
