Knicks Hiring Jason Kidd As New Head Coach?

Are the New York Knicks hiring Jason Kidd as the team’s new head coach?

On Monday, the Los Angeles Lakers gave the Knicks permission to interview Kidd, who is currently the team’s assistant coach.

Kidd was hired by LA as a member of their coaching staff last year. He was originally considered for the role of head coach, but that job ultimately ended up going to Frank Vogel.

Vogel, in turn, agreed to bring Kidd on board.

The Hall of Fame point guard’s final season in the NBA came as a player for the Knicks. He then went on to serve as the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks.

Over the course of three seasons in Milwaukee, his team went 139-152.
