Katherine Webb has been front and center over the past couple of weeks supporting her husband, AJ McCarron, as he attempts to become the XFL’s biggest star.
While the alternative football league has become known as a place for guys who can’t quite cut it in the NFL, that isn’t actually the case with McCarron. He could still comfortably earn a living as a backup at the highest level.
Instead, the 32-year-old has opted to give up that steady paycheck.
McCarron answered that very question this week.
Story: XFL QB A.J. McCarron said he could’ve remained in NFL as a backup for better money but wanted to actually play in order to be able to create moments for his kids.

“My 6-year-old loves watching tape of me on YouTube,” he said.
“That’s a big reason I chose to return this way. I probably could’ve tried to come back with an NFL team and had a chance to probably made bigger money, but no one knows what the future holds. I’m enjoying this and it’s a great way to create some memories for me and my boys.”
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who owns the XFL, took note of McCarron’s comments.
“Takes less money signing with us over the NFL because he wanted his little boys to see him play,” he wrote.
“Now he’s 2-0 and led his team to back to back exciting last minute wins. I’d say he’s creating some memories for his boys. AJ’s decision means a helluva lot to me, personally.”
Webb also seems happy with her beau’s decision. She recently took to social media and shared some photos of herself at one of his XFL games. People absolutely loved her look.

“Stunning,” one person wrote.
“Models. Literally,” another added.
“You look great Katherine. I think you’re a beautiful woman,” a third person wrote.
Webb has found herself in the headlines quite a bit over the past few months, albeit not for an entirely positive reason. Her relationship with the girlfriend of Cleveland Browns star Deshaun Watson raised some eyebrows.
Obviously Webb hasn’t yet achieved the high-profile status of someone like Joe Burrow’s girlfriend, Olivia Holzmacher, who went viral this week while revealing how they spend their private time together during the offseason. But she’s getting there.
A few more wins and the comparison might really stick.

McCarron is quietly becoming the XFL’s biggest star.
That much is undeniable.
Will McCarron and Webb continue to dominate the headlines as the season progresses the way they have over the first couple of weeks? Time will tell.
