Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns came into the 2022-23 NBA season with championship aspirations.

His squad had just acquired Rudy Gay in the offseason and the hope was that together they would form one of the more formidable “Twin Towers” in league history.

Thus far, it hasn’t happened. The Wolves are a middling 8-8 on the year.

That said, his early season struggles didn’t prevent Towns from being able to enjoy his birthday with his girlfriend, Jordyn Woods.

Woods shared photos from the festivities this past week:

Obviously this isn’t the first time in recent months that Woods and Towns have gone viral in this fashion. Their memorable Halloween outfits also left quite the impression, as did Woods’ individual efforts.

Prior to that, Towns and Woods also shared their provocative vacation photos to much acclaim.

Clearly they are very much in love, as they are never shy about showing off on their respective social media accounts:

Big picture, it will be interesting to see where Towns and the Wolves go from here. The season is still young, so nothing really matters at this juncture.

That said – improvement needs to be on the horizon.

Minnesota mortgaged the future to bring in Gay. The bet was on winning now.

At the moment, they are not winning on a consistent basis.

Will that change as their 2022-23 campaign progresses?

An answer should emerge soon enough.
