Josh Giddey’s New Girlfriend’s Age Causes A Stir

Josh Giddey’s New Girlfriend’s Age Causes A Stir

Josh Giddey had a memorable run with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2024, albeit not for the reasons he was probably hoping for.

Despite coming into the new season with a ton of hype surrounding his potential contributions on the basketball court, Giddey ultimately made headlines for an alleged relationship with a minor. Multiple troubling videos and photos came out as a result of the incident.

Not only did the whole situation put Giddey on the wrong side of multiple NBA players who disapproved of his actions, but it also threw his future with the Thunder in peril. Currently, four NBA teams appear to be the frontrunners for his services if Oklahoma City decides to move on from him.

This week Giddey found himself trending once more – this time over his new girlfriend. Maki Lesko, a Melbourne model, has published multiple photos of herself partying with the Thunder star over the past few weeks.

Lesko has a prominent social media account and routinely blows up online for photos like this:

What people found most interesting about Giddey’s new relationship with Lesko is the latter’s age. She is a legal adult.

And given Giddey’s recent history, that is a welcome sight for all.

The big question now is where the 21-year-old will go from here on the basketball court. He was so underwhelming in the 2024 NBA playoffs that the Thunder had to bench him.

That doesn’t bode well for his future with the franchise.

Will Giddey ultimately return to Oklahoma City next season? An answer one way or the other is coming soon enough.
