Jordan Poole is in the midst of his first season with the Washington Wizards. So far, it has been something of a mixed bag.
Five games into the year Poole is averaging 17.6 points per game on 41.8 percent shooting from the field and 30.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
Last year with the Golden State Warriors he averaged 20.4 points per game on 43 percent shooting from the field and 33.6 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
With Poole helping lead the charge the Wizards are off to a blistering 1-4 start in 2023.
This week, while meeting with fans, Poole stopped to address a rumor that began circulating last year. It involved him taking rap star Ice Spice out on a $500,000 date.
Poole’s answer to the fan’s question quickly went viral.

Poole is an interesting character. He obviously has a ton of potential as a basketball player – but he also seems to come with a lot of mental baggage.
NFL fans criticized Sam Ponder’s outfit yesterday. Last time this happened some people wanted her reprimanded: https://t.co/EWZhXGJUkc

It wasn’t just Draymond Green who had a problem with Poole.
Will Poole’s answer to the Ice Spice question finally quell some of the criticism he received last year? An answer one way or the other will emerge soon enough.
