Jon Jones Issues Ominous Threat About Lil Nas X Satan Shoes

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones sparked controversy this week over his reaction to Lil Nas X’s Satan Shoes.

Over the weekend, rapper Lil Nas X unveiled a custom new pair of Nike shoes. They were described as a collaborative effort with MSCHF, but Nike later confirmed they had nothing to do with it. They were supposed to contain 66 CCs of red ink and a drop of human blood mixed with ink in the sole of the shoe. Only 666 pairs were set to be made available.

Former Clemson star and future Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence had a very strong reaction to Lil Nas X’s new release. But he wasn’t alone.

Jones was similarly outraged.

Jones’ second tweet is in regards to Nike filing a lawsuit against MSCHF with a trademark infringement and dilution complaint. They did not endorse or approve Lil Nas X’s new release, apparently.

This isn’t Jones’ first time stepping into a tricky situation. Whether he’s weighing in on police brutality, getting arrested for unfortunate reasons, or teaching would-be robbers an important lesson – the former champ rarely shies away from any sort of conflict.

It should come as no surprise that he did so once more this week.
