John Wall Responds To Los Angeles Lakers Trade Rumors

John Wall was shelved by the Houston Rockets before the start of this season. The idea was that the organization wanted to give increased time to its young players, while Wall wanted a more prominent role with an established group.

Initially, both parties agreed that he would simply sit out until a feasible trade could be worked out.

Unfortunately, the days quickly turned to weeks. And then the weeks turned into months. Now, all this time later – Wall remains a Rocket. That has led to some angry back-and-forths.

Last week, a potential resolution was proposed when the topic of a Russell Westbrook-for-Wall trade was suggested.

This week, Wall reacted to the rumors of him potentially becoming a Los Angeles Laker.

Clearly he is in favor of the idea. Time will tell if LA will ultimately go down this path, though.

If the Lakers pass – the Boston Celtics continue to be a very viable option for Wall. Beyond that, things get dicey.

As for the Lakers, they’ve proposed a fresh offer for Sacramento Kings sharpshooter Buddy Hield. But it’s unclear where that will go.

If Hield doesn’t work out for them, LA has been connected to one small trade and two ‘realistic’ role players – but not anything more substantial than that.

The next two weeks promise to be interesting, if nothing else. Where will all these pieces be when the NBA Trade Deadline comes and goes? Time will tell.
