Joe Judge Makes Big First Move As Giants Coach

Joe Judge made a big first move as Giants coach this week.

Although Judge has yet to officially be announced New York’s newest head coach, it is a mere matter of formalities at this stage.

The job belongs to him.

As such, Judge has been hard at work over the past 24 hours attempting to recruit qualified assistants and coordinators for his staff.

According to ESPN football insider Jordan Ranaan, Judge has his eyes on one big name: former Arkansas head coach and current New England Patriots defensive line coach Bret Bielema.

Bielema will reportedly be targeted for a defensive coordinator role.

Prior to becoming Arkansas’ head coach, Bielema served as the defensive coordinator and then head coach at Wisconsin.

Judge and Bielema are familiar with one another after having spent the last couple of years under Bill Belichick.

An official announcement confirming Judge as the Giants’ head coach is coming soon. Shortly thereafter, he will likely make his first big move – hiring a defensive coordinator.

  1. The title of the story is Joe Judge Makes First Big Move As Giant’s Coach.. The last line of the story says, ” An official announcement confirming Judge as the Giants’ head coach is coming soon. Shortly thereafter, he will likely make his first big move – hiring a defensive coordinator.” As of the release of this story, Judge was NEITHER Coach nor had he actually made his “first big move” as coach… Great reporting!
