Joe Burrow is out for the rest of the year with an injured wrist, but that hasn’t kept the Cincinnati Bengals’ star quarterback out of the headlines.
Over the past month, rumors have begun to circulate that he cheated on his longtime girlfriend, Olivia Holzmacher, in some capacity.
It all started with a post on notorious gossip brand, Deuxmoi, where it was suggested that Burrow went home with Brook Nader’s little sister:
While Deuxmoi refused to confirm or deny the allegation, they did double down on it by posting this in the aftermath of the initial hubbub:
Two things gave this story life. The first is that this isn’t the first time Burrow has been linked to a woman other than Holzmacher. The second is that Burrow’s bedroom prowess has been the topic of intense conversation in the past.
Further complicating matters is the unclear relationship status between Holzmacher and Burrow. Some people believe they are presently engaged:
Others, meanwhile, aren’t aware of any pending nuptials:
All of which is to say, there is a lot of unverifiable and unfortunate information floating around about both Burrow and Holzmacher these days.
And because neither party has or will comment on it, the rumors will persist online no matter their validity.
In a world where Trevor Lawrence’s wife’s leaked party bus photos, Erin Andrews’ viral explicit picture, and a blonde Eagles fan’s polarizing sign dominate the NFL headlines, it is unsurprising that this Burrow drama has become a national story.

That said, it also doesn’t make the whole thing any less unfortunate.
Will either Burrow or Holzmacher bother coming out at some point and setting the record straight? Time will tell.
