Jimmy Butler’s girlfriend Kaitlin Nowak went viral this week after his Miami Heat lost to the Denver Nuggets in Game 1 of their NBA Finals showdown.
Given that wild photos of Nikola Jokic’s wife set the internet ablaze just a few days prior, this wasn’t exactly a surprising development.
Butler and Nowak have been connected in various capacities for four years now, dating back to 2019. The pair was publicly seen together at that year’s Super Bowl and eventually had a child together.
Their daughter, Rylee, who is now four years old, has largely been kept out of public eye.
Butler’s current Heat teammate and former Toronto Raptors star, Kyle Lowry, is Rylee’s godfather.
“He’s one of my absolute best friends,” Butler said during an appearance on The Artist and The Athlete with Lindsay Czarniak podast a while back.
“He’s the godfather of my daughter. As competitive as it is, we’re always laughing, we’re always joking around.”
Although Nowak’s social media accounts are now private, they used to be public – which means some photos of her do live online.
That said, it is clear that in recent years Nowak has opted for privacy above all else.
With Butler’s public standing at an all-time high, if Nowak wanted to cash in on that, she could have. Instead she is leaning into the opposite stance.

The fact that he was able to lead his No. 8 seed Heat, who initially barely won their play-in game, to victories over the Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks and Boston Celtics, is absolutely remarkable.
That said, it is hard to see Miami experience similar success against Denver. The latter group is just too stacked with talent, and more importantly, size. On paper, its hard to see how that gets overcome.
Does Butler have one more upset left in him? Can he guide the Heat past the Nuggets in the NBA Finals? Either way, his girlfriend will undoubtedly be there cheering him on every step of the way.
