Jeremy Pruitt Reacts To Tennessee Fan Who Said Go Back To Alabama

Tennessee head football coach Jeremy Pruitt is in the midst of a rough season.

After getting off to a hot start with two straight wins, the Vols have promptly dropped five in a row and now sit at 2-5 through seven games.

Pruitt’s overall record with Tennessee is 15-17.

Things have gotten so bad that fans are literally calling in to radio shows and demanding to know why Pruitt won’t leave. This week, Pruitt decided to address one of those calls.

“When are you going to admit you’re not a ball coach and go back to Alabama?” a fan asked during the Vol Calls radio program.

“Well Phillip, you gotta know I’m pretty hard headed right,” Pruitt replied.

“So I do feel they’re things we can all improve on. I feel your frustration man, I am with you, I am frustrated too. But we’re working hard and we’re gonna continue to work hard to put a product out there you can be proud of, how bout that.”

Tennessee has showdowns looming against No. 6 ranked Florida this week and No. 5 ranked Texas A&M the following Saturday. Barring a miracle, a 2-7 overall mark feels all but inevitable at this point.
