Jason Witten Responds To Dez Bryant Over Black Lives Matter

This past weekend, former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant called out former tight end Jason Witten.

Witten was mentioned along with Jerry and Stephen Jones for not supporting Black Lives Matter protests in Austin, Texas.

“Somebody should have brought Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones and Jason Witten to this protest down in Austin,” Bryant tweeted.

“This is not a policy change; this is a heart change. And yeah, I said it.”

Witten, who is now a member of the Las Vegas Raiders, did not ignore the callout.

“Dez – When I saw your tweet, I tried to call you,” he tweeted.

“I don’t know what you’re feeling, but I do know what I stand for and believe in. I believe it’s time for change. I believe we must all listen. I believe together is the way. Let’s unite and impact change together. Much Love.”

Bryant, responded in a similarly polite manner.

Witten and Bryant spent multiple seasons together on the Cowboys, so them being able to find a cordial resolution is unsurprising.
