Jaguars Boss Shahid Khan Reveals Surprising Gardner Minshew Fact

Jacksonville Jaguars boss Shahid Khan revealed a surprising Gardner Minshew fact in a new interview.

Minshew, 23, has spent the last month and change filling in for starter Nick Foles.

Foles suffered a broken collarbone in the first week of the season after receiving a massive contract from the Jaguars during the summer.

This past Sunday, Minshew put his dazzling offensive prowess on display once more when he led his squad to a victory over the New York Jets.

Minshew recorded three scores and 279 yards in the win.

When asked about his young star, who may very well win Offensive Rookie of the Year this season, Khan revealed that he was not particularly shocked by how well Minshew is doing in the pros.

Apparently, while meeting with Khan during the NFL Combine, Minshew displayed the sort of confidence and attitude that has turned him into an overnight sensation.

“(He said) I know I’m too short, too slow, but I won 11 f——-in games last year,” Khan revealed Minshew had said to him.

Minshew put together a stellar senior year at Washington State, throwing for 4,779 yards and 38 touchdowns.

Despite that, he still was not selected until the sixth round of last year’s draft.

With Foles set to make his comeback soon, it will be interesting to see which direction the Jaguars go in with quarterback.
