Jadeveon Clowney Signing With Philadelphia Eagles?
Jadeveon Clowney’s free agent status has been something of a big issue over the past few months.
Clowney clearly thought he was going to be a much more prized free agent than he actually ended up. With cash offers for him not meeting his expectations, the options for where the talented defensive star will go next appear limited.
This week, John Clayton suggested that the Philadelphia Eagles were serious contenders to sign Clowney.
“He’s going to be interested in Philadelphia because one of the things and one of the reasons he turned down Cleveland is because he wants to go to a winning team,” Clayton said.
“He turned down Miami twice because he didn’t expect them to be a winning team.”
The Eagles seem to check a lot of boxes as far as what Clowney is looking for. The only question at this point is whether they will spend as much on him as he is hoping they will.
If the answer to that question ultimately ends up being no, it would not be all that shocking to see him return to the Seattle Seahawks for one more season.
