Jadeveon Clowney Rejected $17 Million From Dolphins

Jadeveon Clowney reportedly rejected a $17 million offer from the Miami Dolphins recently.

In a recent column, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reported that the Dolphins had a standing offer to Clowney that would have paid him roughly $17 million per year. However, that did not appear to be enough to lure him.

As a result, the organization switched gears and signed Shaq Lawson instead.

“Dolphins discussed $17 million annual average deal at one point in process with Seahawks free agent Jadeveon Clowney, per sources,” he tweeted.

“Didn’t accept, so Dolphins moved on with Shaq Lawson. Clowney aiming for $20 million average, but could wind up signing for less on shorter deal”

At the moment, all signs point to Clowney remaining with the Seattle Seahawks on a short-term deal that pays him close to the annual figure he wants.
