Ja Morant Responds To Awkward Hacked DM Situation

Ja Morant is having a season for the ages this year. Not only is he averaging 27.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game, but he is getting those numbers in the most significant way imaginable.

As things presently stand, Morant’s Grizzlies are 45-22 and sit second in the Western Conference.

Unfortunately, with success and fame come some headaches.

And Morant learned that lesson the hard way this week.

In a post on Twitter, Morant pulled the cover off a bizarre DM controversy. It largely speaks for itself:

Based on that, it’s unclear what precisely Morant is saying. Did someone hack him and respond to the fan? Or is he saying the fan faked the exchange altogether? If it’s the latter, then that wouldn’t so much be hacking as it is just straight up lying.

In any case, Morant seems to be doing quite well for himself these days on and off the court.

On the court, he is thriving. Off it? He reportedly has so much swagger that he took Drake’s girl from him.

That’s how you know you’re on a hot streak.

Morant put the NBA on notice this year, and a lot of vets are feeling the heat. Russell Westbrook getting triggered by the mere mention of his name recently shows the impact he is having.

If Morant can ultimately lead Memphis past the first round of the playoffs and beyond, he will quickly put himself into the conversation for best guard in the NBA today.
