Is A Big Kevin Love Trade Brewing Between Nuggets, Cavaliers?

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ desire to dump Kevin Love has been an open secret in the NBA for months.

The entire roster has slowly but surely been filled with young, promising big man talents over the past year – rendering the 33-year-old redundant.

A trade feels imminent. Love has made it clear where he hopes to go, but he is unlikely to get his wish.

Interestingly enough, a new potential suitor has recently snuck into the mix for Love’s services.

According to Sam Amico of Hoops Wire, Denver is one of the few teams to recently convey a potential desire to get something done.

“It’s true that Rubio was just 2-of-10 shooting, but he ran the offense and made the Cavs look like a winning team when he was out there,” Amico wrote. “So did Love. I even joked that perhaps Love was auditioning for a job with the Nuggets, one of the few teams that recently has displayed trade interest.”

Obviously Love has been linked to a championship contender for months now, but the longer it goes without happening, the less likely it becomes.

This Nuggets deal, conversely, makes sense for all parties involved. Denver would get some support they desperately could’ve used during last season’s playoff run, and Cleveland gets to dump a guy they’ve been itching to dump for nearly a year. Win-win.

Will this trade ultimately come to fruition? Time will tell. Should it? Absolutely.
