Ime Udoka Faces Celtics Discipline Amid Nia Long Affair Rumors

Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka found himself trending on social media for all the wrong reasons this week.

Late Thursday night, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported that Udoka was “facing possible disciplinary action” from the Celtics over “an unspecified violation of organizational guidelines.”

Given the vagueness of that tweet, speculation regarding what precisely Udoka did began to run rampant. Right around the same time, a mysterious Twitter account seemed to offer a suggestion regarding what may be at the root of all this:

Immediately, people began to suspect that this tweet came from a burner account:

And then for obvious reasons, Udoka’s wife Nia Long began trending shortly thereafter.

Long became a fan favorite during Boston’s playoff run for her incredible dancing celebration videos.

Obviously nobody knows anything here and this is all just gossip and conjecture. That said, you never want to be in the news cycle for something like this.

Udoka had a fantastic 2021-22 NBA season with the Celtics and now it is being tarnished. Time will tell to what degree.

The Celtics have recently been linked to a fairly substantial trade, but obviously that will take a backseat to this drama.

How will this sordid saga ultimately end for Udoka and Boston?

An answer should emerge soon enough.
