How Lakers Fans Responded To Man Insulting Kobe Bryant (Video)

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Miami Heat on Sunday night to capture the franchise’s 17th championship. In celebration of the occasion, fans took to the streets.

In one particular corner of LA, things quickly escalated. It all began with one man allegedly yelling “**** Kobe,” in reference to the Lakers legend who died in a helicopter crash with his daughter and seven others earlier this year.

As you might imagine, things did not end well for the man who yelled out the insult.

Reactions to the incident were pretty much what one would expect.

Bryant, along with his daughter Gianna and seven others, died in a helicopter crash on January 26.

After the Lakers’ most recent championship victory, his wife Vanessa released a heartfelt message regarding the occasion.

“Go Lakers! Congratulations Uncle P! Congratulations @Lakers! Kobe was right RP, ‘Stay the course- block out the noise’ @kobebryant. Wish Kobe and Gigi were here to see this,” she posted.

While fans honoring Bryant’s memory is generally a good thing, it’s probably safe to assume that the Lakers legend wouldn’t want it done in this particular fashion.

Trolls are going to troll, be it online or in real life. It happens.

Beating people up in the streets may feel good in the moment, but it reflects poorly on Lakers fans in general and isn’t worth the time or effort.
