How Ayesha Curry Responded To Steph’s 62-Point Showing

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry exploded for a career-high 62 points in a 137-122 blowout win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night.

After the outing his wife, Ayesha, took to social media to congratulate her husband on his incredible accomplishment.

Specifically, Ayesha posted a video of her man being doused with a bottle of water in celebration of his red hot night. She also included a special message in the caption.

“So proud!!! 62?! Year 12?! Goodness. Best part is he’ll be excited about it sure, BUT it’s more about the team wins for him. That’s what makes him so special. Love you @stephencurry30.”

Curry went 18-for-31 from the field, including 8-for-16 from beyond the arc, and was 18-of-19 from the free throw line with five rebounds and four assists in 36 minutes.

After the game, he acknowledged that he had heard all the recent criticism regarding his inability to carry the Warriors, but that it wasn’t bothering him too much.

“I don’t get frazzled too easily and am very confident in who I am as a person,” Curry said.

“As a basketball player, there’s not going to be anything you can say about me or to me that’s going to affect that. At the end of the day that’s how I got here, and I got a lot of people in my circle that understand what makes me tick, and how much I enjoy this game, and all the different challenges you get to experience having been around 12 years-plus. … I love everything about what this game offers and the competitiveness and the fire. I never run from it.”

Golden State’s next game will come against the Sacramento Kings on Monday. With a victory, the Warriors will move to above .500 for the first time this year.
