Houston Nutt Will Be Next Coach Of UTSA

Houston Nutt will be the next coach of UTSA, according to recent reports.

After an eight-year sabbatical from NCAA coaching, the former Arkansas head coach is reportedly interested in linking up with the Roadrunners.

“Multiple sources confirm that former Arkansas and Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt has ‘a very high interest’ in the head coach opening at UTSA,” tweeted out Brad Logan of the Clarion-Ledger.

UTSA fired Frank Wilson following a disappointing 4-8 finish to the year. Wilson had not won more than six games at any point during his stint with the program.

Nutt previously coached at Arkansas and Ole Miss. With the Razorbacks he won 75 games and led the team to the postseason on eight separate occasions.

While recruiting violation allegations followed Nutt around for most of the latter half of his career, that is pretty much par for the course for all college football coaches nowadays.
