Georgia vs Auburn Winner Is Obvious, Says Colin Cowherd

The Georgia vs Auburn winner is obvious, says Colin Cowherd.

Heading into this weekend, the best game on the calendar without question is Georgia versus Auburn.

With the Bulldogs sneaking into the college football playoff top four this weekend and the job status of Gus Malzahn being perpetually up in the air, there is a lot on the line here.

Most people have been having a difficult time figuring out who would ultimately win this one, but not Cowherd.

According to the polarizing Fox Sports Radio host, the winner of this one is clear.

“Take Georgia -2.5, they only have to win by a field goal,” he said.

“Georgia has dominated this series and they are significantly better at quarterback with Jake Fromm over freshman Bo Nix. We talk about Auburn’s defense but Georgia’s defense is better.

“They’re number one in the SEC in virtually everything. Georgia hasn’t had a turnover in their last three games. This will not be a high scoring affair and you should bet the under (41) if you had to bet anything.

“Nix has struggled against every good defense that Auburn has played. Against top 40 defenses he completes 45% of his throws.

“Gus Malzahn has never proven to me that he can beat Georgia or win big games and I’m swallowing the points.”

Will Cowherd’s prediction ultimately be vindicated this weekend?

We’ll find out come Saturday.
