Georgia Bulldogs Football Star Arrested

A Georgia Bulldogs football star has been arrested.

James Cook, the team’s tailback, was arrested on a pair of misdemeanor charges.

Apparently the Georgia star was driving with a valid driver’s license and had an open container of alcohol in the passenger’s area.

Police ultimately released Cook about an hour after he was arrested.

While it is unclear how Georgia brass will ultimately punish Cook, the timing of this no doubt complicates matters.

The Bulldogs need all hands on deck for the Sugar Bowl, and Kirby Smart is already losing red shirt tailback Prather Hudson to the transfer portal.

Cook has been a very valuable piece of Georgia’s offense this season. For the year he has recorded 176 rushing yards, 132 receiving yards and fit in well behind D’Andre Swift.

It remains to be seen how the program will ultimately decide to deal with him punishment-wise.
