Floyd Mayweather Says Manny Pacquiao Will Lose Rematch
Floyd Mayweather Sr. says Manny Pacquiao will lose a rematch against his son, Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Speaking to TMZ recently, Mayweather Sr. indicated that he believed another bout between his boy and Pacquiao was something of an inevitability.
“I’m pretty sure that they’re gonna fight,” he said. “They’re gonna fight again.”
Boxing fans were excited regarding the prospect of Mayweather-Pacquiao II following Pacquiao’s impressive showing against Keith Thurman last month.
The hype reached a fever point when Mayweather Jr. himself said that he was actually heading to Saudi Arabia to discuss a potential rematch.
Unfortunately, shortly after saying that, Mayweather relented and said that another showdown against Pacquiao was not actually in the cards.

Despite that, Mayweather Sr. thinks a rematch will come to fruition, and he believes the match won’t be a close one.
Mayweather Sr. confidently said that Mayweather Jr. “will kick his (Pacquiao’s) ass the second, third, fourth, fifth time.”
The original Mayweather-Pacquiao took place in 2015 after years of hype and speculation of whether it would ever come together. It ultimately became the highest selling pay-per-view (PPV) of all time.
Will we get an encore?
Mayweather Sr. sure seems to think so, but we will find out for sure soon enough.
