FAU Makes Final Decision Regarding Lane Kiffin

FAU made a final decision regarding Lane Kiffin.

Kiffin, 44, is one of the most polarizing coaches in college football.

You either believe he is a talented offensive mind who previously experienced some bad luck in high places.

Or you think that he is the luckiest guy in the world who fails up no matter where he goes.

There is no in-between.

Over the past few weeks there have been multiple reports that Kiffin might jump ship to one of the many college football heading coaching opportunities that have opened up in recent months.

Well, according to Football Scoop, FAU may prevent that from happening.

In a new report, Football Scoop suggests that FAU is putting together a very lucrative package for Kiffin.

“We continue to hear that Lane is in talks with Arkansas, but have also heard throughout the process that even if the Razorbacks ultimately decided to approach Lane with an offer, it was far from a foregone conclusion that he would leave Boca,” the report notes.

“There’s still a good chance Lane may end up in Fayetteville, but sources tell us to not count out FAU’s chances at convincing him of the lure of continuing to coach in paradise.”

Will FAU ultimately be able to retain Kiffin? It remains to be seen. He has been with the program for two years and this season guided them to a 9-3 record.
