Erin Andrews Reveals Shocking High School Nickname

Erin Andrews revealed her shocking high school nickname during a recent interview.

Andrews is widely regarded as one of the most beloved sports media personalities around.

The 41-year-old will be on hand this Sunday at Super Bowl LIV when the Kansas City Chiefs square off against the San Francisco 49ers.

It wasn’t always easy for Andrews, though.

Growing up, she was the victim of frequent bullying.

In an interview with HBO Real Sports, Andrews admitted that her height made her an easy target in high school.

“She was very tall. And she was very thin – she was always thin. Kids referred to her as ‘Manute,’ as in Manute Bol,” her dad told HBO.

Bol was a seven-foot-seven star in the NBA – one of the tallest players in the league’s history.

“I would’ve liked to have been named MJ, or Scottie Pippen or something like that,” Andrews said with a laugh.

“But I got Manute.”

“I didn’t enjoy high school,” she continued.

“All I wanted to do was talk sports. Friday nights, when all of my girlfriends were at the movie theater with their boyfriends, I was at our friend’s house down the street watching the Chicago Bulls.”

It appears that love of sports worked out quite well for Andrews, even if she had to endure a rough childhood to get to where she eventually wanted to be.
