Eagles Make Huge Injury Update Ahead Of Seahawks Game

The Eagles made a huge injury update ahead of the Seahawks game.

Heading into Sunday’s big showdown, the main theme of this particular outing was injuries. Both teams have been absolutely ravaged by them, and neither will be at full strength as the postseason opens.

Fortunately for Philadelphia, the NFC East champs will get a key piece back ahead of the big game.

Tight end Zach Ertz has been cleared to play.

Ertz, Carson Wentz’s Pro Bowl safety blanket, missed last week’s match-up versus the New York Giants with rib and back ailments suffered in Week 16.

According to Derrick Gunn and John Clark of NBC Sports, Ertz suffered a “small or very small” cut on his kidney, but it has since healed.

As a result, he will suit up for Philly as his team takes on a very dangerous Seahawks squad.

The big question now will be how rusty Ertz will be. He was limited in practice all week long, so he will either be very fresh or his rhythm will be off. It will definitely be one or the other.

Ertz recorded 88 receptions for 916 yards and six scores this season. He is Wentz’s favorite target and should provide the team with a huge offensive shot in the arm.

Philly and Seattle will kick off at 1:40 p.m. PST on Sunday.
