Eagles Confirm Jalen Hurts Will Start vs Cowboys

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson confirmed that Jalen Hurts will serve as the team’s starter for this coming week’s showdown against the Dallas Cowboys.

“Obviously, I’m going to continue to have Jalen [Hurts] start this week. I’m focused on only this week,” he said on Monday.

Hurts looked incredible against the Arizona Cardinals this past weekend, despite the fact that his team ultimately lost. He went 24 of 44, passing for 338 yards, three touchdowns, zero interceptions, 63 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.

Unfortunately, Hurts wasn’t satisfied with those numbers.

“Those 300 yards didn’t win us the game, whatever it was,” he said after the loss.

“That’s what matters. You can go out there and throw five picks, fumble the ball three times, whatever. It can be 2-0. If we score more points than them, that’s all that matters. It’s a great opportunity for us to learn and we will learn, and we will be stronger moving forward.

For the year Hurts is 49 of 89, passing for 647 yards, five touchdowns, one interception, 251 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
