Derrick Rose revealed which NBA team he wants to play for in a recent interview.
Rose has been one of the league’s most surprising positive stories so far this season.
The 31-year-old former MVP is averaging 19 points and 6 assists per game while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field.
After struggling for a long time to return to his pre-injury form, this is as close as we have seen Rose to it in years.
Because the Detroit Pistons are in the midst of a rebuild, Rose’s spectacular year is getting wasted.
As such, his name is frequently floated in various trade scenarios.
Rose is presently on a deal that will see him getting paid $7.7 million next year.
This week, Rose stopped to talk to the media about his status with the Pistons and where he wants to be playing.

Detroit is currently 17-33 through 50 outings and way out of the Eastern Conference playoff picture.
As a result, it is pretty much a lock that Rose will get traded sooner rather than later.
The NBA trade deadline is set for February 6, so look for a deal to get done before that.

I think the Pistons would be absolutely crazy to trade Derrick Rose. They always trade guys who want to stay here and they play hard to win. Spend money on guys with the same winning mentality as Rose and you can have a competitive team. Instead they keep holding on to guys that don’t show that they want to win and get get rid of the ones that work extremely hard to win. People talked about Joe Dumars but at least he won a championship. If they continue to get rid of guys like Rose who play hard to win they will never win another championship.
