Derick Brassard Signs Deal With Islanders, Who Will They Sign Next?

Derick Brassard has agreed to a one-year, $1.2 million deal with the New York Islanders. He enters this agreement fresh off a five-year deal that paid him $25 million.

Brassard, 31, scored 14 goals and 23 points in 70 games last year. He played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Florida Panthers and Colorado Avalanche. For his career, the center has scored 176 goals and 451 points in a total of 786 NHL games.

Now that the Islanders have locked down Brassard, it stands to reason that the team will continue making moves to improve the roster.
