Demaryius Thomas Signing With New York Jets?

Demaryius Thomas signed with the New York Jets last year just as the season was about to commence. Things appear to be trending in that same direction once again in 2020.

The Jets currently find themselves lacking in the wide receiver department. With Robby Anderson gone to the Carolina Panthers and Quincy Enunwa out with a neck injury, the cupboard is very bare.

As such, it should come as no surprise that New York is taking a serious look at Thomas. The former Pro Bowler would fit in nicely next to Breshad Perriman and Jamison Crowder.

Last season, Thomas recorded 433 yards and a score on 36 catches. He built up a good relationship with head coach Adam Gase, and presumably he would be even more comfortable in the offense this time around.

Sam Darnold is coming into his third year as a pro. While the former USC star has not been terrible, he also has not been particularly good. A lack of support from the wide receiving department has not helped with that.

Although Thomas obviously is not the same guy he was with the Denver Broncos, he can still be a very productive player when given the opportunity.

Official word on Thomas continuing with the Jets should come at some point in the next few weeks.
