David Njoku Trade: Browns Sending Him To Packers, Texans, Ravens Or Eagles?
David Njoku has demanded a trade from the Cleveland Browns. The Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles all appear to be in the running for his services.
On Friday morning, Drew Rosenhaus informed the media that his client was seeking to be moved.
“It is in David’s best interest to find a new team at this time,” he said.
The obvious question quickly became: who will that new team be?
Green Bay clearly makes a lot of sense, since the organization needs to provide Aaron Rodgers with some support and did very little of that in the last NFL Draft.
The Texans seem to be a sensible option, too. Deshaun Watson is one of the league’s best young quarterbacks, but he needs help on the offensive side of the ball. Njoku would provide that.
Baltimore is said to be a serious contender for Antonio Brown, but regardless of whether they get the controversial wideout or not, Njoku could be a huge asset.
Finally, don’t sleep on the Eagles. Philly has a lot of good assets and is always willing to make a move to help its chances of making it to the Super Bowl.
A decision on Njoku’s next destination is likely to come sooner rather than later.
