Danica Patrick is objectively the greatest female open-wheel racer of all time.

While her brash attitude may have rubbed some fans the wrong way back during her NASCAR days, it also helped cement her as one of the most important athletes of her generation.

In addition to establishing a very lucrative racing career for herself, Patrick was also able to transcend the sport and become a cultural icon.

Since retiring, Patrick has really leaned into being a social media influencer. She has a sizable following across a variety of platforms, and she pretty regularly sets the internet ablaze with her content.

This past week was just the latest example.

In a series of fascinating posts, Patrick shared her wild vacation photos from the year that was.

Fans ate it up.

“So awesome that you got to experience all those places! Hope you will make many more memories in 2023,” one person wrote.

“I like the photo of you in the black sequined biker hat. There’s just something intriguing about it,” another fan added.

“You had an awesome year,” a third person chipped in. “Well deserved.”

Patrick’s ability to consistently go viral is pretty unmatched in the racing space. Between her wild outfits generating a ton of buzz, her memorable vacation photos leaving an impression and her Christmas party photos causing something of a stir – she is a fixture in the news cycle.

Part of the reason why Patrick is so beloved is because she comes off as really relatable and fun. It drips through every photo she takes.

That nature is probably why Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has had so much trouble getting over her.

By any objective measure, 2022 was a massive year for Patrick and her brand.

What will 2023 have in store for the racing legend? Time will tell.
