Conor McGregor’s Aunt Died Of Coronavirus?
Did Conor McGregor’s aunt die of coronavirus? That is the impression he gave with a recent post on social media.
On Friday evening, the former UFC champion shared a heartfelt post on Instagram talking about the pandemic that has been sweeping the globe. In it, he discussed everything from hygiene to immune system strength.
Along the way, McGregor also mentioned the passing of his aunt – though it remains unclear as to whether it was from coronavirus or not.
“Sitting in the chair about to beam live to all the U.S morning talk shows, I get a phone call telling me that my lovely little auntie Anne had passed away,” he wrote.
“I couldn’t go live anymore. My poor little friendly loving auntie. My mother’s sister. This stupid f****** virus.
“What the f*** is happening. I took my family to bull island. Looked out at the sea. Took a deep breath.
“Thank f***! Lord thank you. Stay tight people! We are all we got. Rest in Peace Anne Moore I love you.”
McGregor is not currently scheduled to fight, but the UFC itself is proceeding full steam ahead despite coronavirus.
As things currently stand, the UFC is the only major sporting promotion planning to host events over the next 30 days.
On Saturday, March 14, the UFC is set to host an event headlined by Kevin Lee and Charles Olivera.
