Ed Orgeron Suspends Big LSU Star Indefinitely
Ed Orgeron suspended a big LSU star indefinitely this week.
Fresh off winning the program’s first National Championship since 2007, Coach O has not had much time to relax.
Gone to the pros are Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Justin Jefferson and Patrick Queen.
Off to Baylor is Dave Aranda.
Departed to the Carolina Panthers is offensive guru Joe Brady.
Between losing a ton of his best players to the NFL Draft and most of his best assistants to various other openings, this has been something of a stressful stretch for Orgeron.
Things went from bad to worse this week when LSU announced that it was suspending a former four-star recruit indefinitely.

“Freshman Donte Starks has been indefinitely suspended from the football team for violation of team rules, head coach Ed Orgeron announced on Saturday,” the school said in a statement.
The reason for the suspension has not been revealed as of Saturday evening.
Starks, a one-time stud linebacker, was expected to take on a heavier load next year with the departures of Queen and Jacob Phillips.
Now that void will need to be filled by someone else.
Given all the hits LSU has taken during the offseason thus far, it is hard to see a scenario where the Tigers can repeat as champions in 2020-21.
That said, stranger things have happened in college football.
Time will tell how much these losses will ultimately impact Coach O and Co.
