Colin Cowherd Brutally Mocks Baker Mayfield, Browns

Colin Cowherd brutally mocked Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns during a recent segment on his radio show.

Last week, Cowherd surprised a lot of listeners when he did something he has done very infrequently over the past year – he offered positive words for Mayfield and the Browns.

Cowherd suggested that Cleveland would go on a solid run in the second half of the season to make up for their disappointing first half.

Instead, Mayfield and the Browns stunk up the joint last Sunday versus the hapless Denver Broncos, who were starting Brandon Allen in the game – a guy making his first ever career start.

On Tuesday, Cowherd ripped the Browns like only he can.

“I apologize. I have told my staff to take it off the archive,” Cowherd said.

“It is my worst football take ever. Everything that matters to me, I bailed on because I couldn’t get over the schedules.”

And he did not stop there.

“As I was sitting there watching Baltimore win and Cleveland implode, I’m thinking ‘I forgot some obvious things.’ John Harbaugh is excellent, meanwhile Cleveland coach Freddie Kitchens is a busboy at Applebee’s.

“I forgot that Lamar Jackson is coachable, hardworking and quiet. Cleveland’s quarterback is loud and cocky, and he thinks that is leadership.”

Ouch.

Next up for the Browns this weekend will be a showdown against the surprisingly resilient Buffalo Bills.
