Coach O Cuts Own Forehead Trying To Pump Up LSU

Coach O cut his own forehead trying to pump up LSU before the Clemson game on Monday.

Heading into the National Championship, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron knew that he needed to get his squad into he right mindset.

The only way to get a team appropriately fired up before a big game is by getting extremely fired up yourself.

Nobody in the business is better than that than Orgeron.

During a pregame interview, eagle-eyed fans at home noticed something on the coach’s forehead. It was only after a bit of online sleuth work did it come out how Orgeron ultimately cut himself.

Amazingly enough, this is not even the craziest thing Orgeron has done to fire up his team.

“Before one of the games,” former LSU quarterback Danny Etling once said, “he’ll come down and drink a whole Red Bull, smashes it on his head, lifts off his shirt and he’s punching himself in the jaw getting us ready, pumped up to play.

“That’s Coach O for you.”

Offensive lineman Lloyd Cushenberry gave ESPN reporter David Hale a similarly hilarious story this year.

“Coach O comes in to try to get us fired up,” Cushenberry recounted.

“He’s carrying two Red Bulls. He rips his shirt off and shotguns both Red Bulls. Everybody was fired up after that.”

Will Coach O’s tactics work earn him the biggest prize in the sport? We’ll find out once and for all on Monday night.
