Cleveland Indians Trading Francisco Lindor To LA Dodgers

The Cleveland Indians are trading Francisco Lindor to the LA Dodgers, if all goes according to plan.

With Lindor being up for a new contract after the 2021 season, everyone more or less knew that a divorce between him and Cleveland was inevitable.

Sure enough, reports have surfaced in recent days that the Indians are in talks with the Los Angeles Dodgers involved the talented shortstop.

According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, Cleveland reportedly wants Dustin May and Gavin Lux in return for Lindor.

Clearly the move for them is rebuilding with youth.

“The Los Angeles #Dodgers and Cleveland #Indians continue to be engaged in serious trade talks for Cleveland All-Star shortstop Francisco Lindor, with Cleveland seeking a package of Dodgers prospects including Gavin Lux and Dustin May,”Nightengale tweeted out.

Lindor’s talent is undeniable. With career marks of .288/.347/.493 along with 130 homers, 478 runs, 384 RBIs and 90 stolen bases, he would be a huge asset to any team that would nab him.

Will the Dodgers ultimately agree to mortgage the future a bit for some immediate return? Based on everything we have seen over the past few years, the answer to that question is a definitive “yes.”
