Chiefs Issue Unfortunate Injury Update Ahead Of Super Bowl

The Chiefs issued an unfortunate injury update ahead of the Super Bowl.

On Thursday, the team announced that star tight end Travis Kelce is out sick and will not practice.

Kelce is not the only player on Kansas City’s roster battling some sort of bizarre sickness.

It appears to be a team-wide problem.

Safety Jordan Lucas is also out on Thursday as a result of some sort of illness.

This comes just one day after wide receiver Demarcus Robinson sat out Wednesday’s practice due to sickness.

The Chiefs are widely regarded as the favorite heading into the Super Bowl, so long as they are healthy.

With a little more than a week remaining before the big game, they do not appear to be too healthy at the moment.

Fortunately, for now, all issues seem to be impacting players not named Patrick Mahomes.

If Kansas City has any hope of winning the championship this year, the team will need its superstar quarterback at 100 percent.

The Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will square off at Super Bowl LIV, live from Miami, Florida, on February 2.
