Is Chandler Parsons’ NBA career over after his accident?

Parsons, a forward for the Atlanta Hawks, was injured in a car crash on January 15.

As a result of the accident, he reportedly suffered multiple “severe” and “permanent” injuries.

Among the 31-year-old’s injuries as a result of the crash were “a traumatic brain injury, disc herniation and torn labrum.”

The Hawks star’s vehicle was reportedly hit by a drunk driver on Wednesday afternoon at around 11 a.m. eastern time.

At this point, it is not clear if Parsons will ever be able to return to playing basketball at the pro level.

An NBA player since 2011, Parsons has played in less than half of his squad’s outings each year since 2016.

This season he is averaging 2.8 points and 1.4 rebounds per game.
