Bucs Planning To Draft Quarterback In 2020 NFL Draft?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are planning to draft a quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Heading into April 23’s big event, team general manager Jason Licht recently described the thought process going into Tampa Bay’s big decisions.

Although the Buccaneers already have a starter in the newly signed Tom Brady, they still need to plan for the future.

Speaking to the Tampa Bay times recently, Licht said this much.

“We can afford to do it, I think,” he said.

“And it’s definitely something we would look at. But it just depends on who that player is, where he’s available, what other players are in front of him.

“If we are sold on that player, it’s not as easy as just picking any quarterback and thinking, ‘OK, he’s the developmental guy.’”

The Buccaneers have the 14th overall pick in the looming 2020 NFL Draft. It will be interesting to see if they use it on someone like Utah State quarterback Jordan Love, who will likely still be on the board at that point.
