The Los Angeles Chargers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 30-24 on Sunday afternoon.
With the loss, Patrick Mahomes and Co. fell to 1-2 on the year and now sit in last place in the AFC West. This marks the first time the team has held this distinction with him as the quarterback.
If that wasn’t bad enough, a controversy erupted after the fact over Mahomes’ partner, Brittany Matthews, suggesting the Chiefs were cheated out of victory.
Specifically, she took issue with a pass interference late in the game that in her opinion could’ve altered the course of the outing.

This isn’t Matthews’ first dance with controversy. She was embroiled in a racial tweets scandal not along ago, and obviously her old exposed Tom Brady tweets raised more than a few eyebrows.
For better or worse, Matthews will never shy away from speaking her mind. And that makes her a lightning rod for arguments.
More likely than not the Chiefs will ultimately bounce back from this and go on to have a great season. But if they don’t, this could prove to be a tough year for Matthews.
