Brandon Ingram’s Brutal 3-Word Insult For LeBron James, Lakers

Brandon Ingram’s Brutal 3-Word Insult For LeBron James, Lakers

The New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 114-111 on Friday night. With the victory, they effectively ended LA’s season and any real shot of them qualifying for the play-in games.

One person who reveled in the end result was Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram. As a key part of the trade from Los Angeles that netted the Lakers Anthony Davis, this was a measure of sweet, sweet revenge for him.

Not only did Ingram record 29 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort, but he also made sure to put the final nail in LA’s coffin with a brutal 3-word insult for LeBron James and the squad in general.

The video largely speaks for itself:

“It’s a sweep,” Ingram could be heard yelling.

The Lakers are as done as done gets. Team head coach Frank Vogel tried to maintain an air of hope in the postgame press conference, but the writing on the wall is clear.

“Win as many games as we can. It’s gonna be tough to catch [the Pelicans] obviously now with the lead they have and the tiebreaker, but we have plenty of time to win as many games as we can down the stretch and see what happens with San Antonio.”

This has been a disastrous and humiliating season for the Lakers from start to finish. Drastic changes, inevitably, are coming.

There is chatter of the front office seriously contemplating an Anthony Davis trade in the offseason.

James also seems to have his eye on a new team.

This summer will be one of intense contemplation and self-analysis for Los Angeles.

What will come of that and what will the roster look like come next season? Time will tell.
