The NBA has undergone something of a reshuffling over the past week. Big names like Russell Westbrook, DeMar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball will all be playing in new locales next year, while others like Ben Simmons are on the precipice of getting traded.
One person who is seemingly always involved in talks of some sort is Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal. Westbrook’s recent trade has only intensified the chatter that the 28-year-old might be on the move.
On Wednesday Beal and his wife, Kamiah Adams-Beal, added fuel to the fire with a series of cryptic messages.
The messages largely speak for themselves:
🤔

So is a deal for Beal imminent? It’s hard to say. The tweets could mean that, or they could mean something else entirely.
Beal has been closely linked to four possible suitors – one of which is viewed as an especially serious contender. That said, it is unclear how far along talks are.
Back in February the Wizards made their asking price for Beal clear. It’s hefty. Barring someone stepping up to the plate and meeting it, it’s difficult to envision a scenario where he gets dealt. He is still under contract next season and doesn’t become an unrestricted free agent until 2023. That gives the front office some time to maneuver and figure out the right arrangement for them.
