Bill Murray Super Bowl Jeep Commercial Goes Viral

A Bill Murray Super Bowl Jeep commercial went viral on Sunday.

Ahead of Super Bowl LIV, one ad has stolen the show.

On Groundhog Day, Jeep released a commercial featuring Murray reprising his classic role from the movie Groundhog Day.

“Today isn’t just Game Day. It’s Groundhog Day,” Jeep tweeted out.

“Watch Bill Murray in the Jeep ‘Groundhog Day’ commercial featuring the 2020 Jeep Gladiator.”

In the ad, Murray wakes up at 6 a.m. as Phil Connors and realizes he is trapped in the classic film.

Murray goes outside and sees his new orange Jeep Gladiator, kidnaps Punxsutawney Phil, and then takes him for a drive.

The pair visit a farm, arcade and then take a bike trip together.

For obvious reasons, the commercial immediately went viral.

Commercials for this year’s Super Bowl cost more than $5 million, so hopefully Jeep gets its money’s worth out of this one.
