Bengals Make Final Decision On AJ Green

The Bengals made a final decision on AJ Green.

Green, 31, has not played in a single game so far this year.

Unfortunately, that trend will continue as Cincinnati has reportedly placed its star wide receiver on injured reserve.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapaport, Green will finish the year off without having played a single snap.

“After waiting on him for the entire season, the Bengals have placed WR AJ Green on Injured Reserve,” Rapaport tweeted out.

Cincinnati currently sits at 1-14 through 15 games and has locked up the No. 1 seed in the 2020 NFL Draft. The team will likely select Heisman winner and LSU quarterback Joe Burrow with that pick.

With that in mind, it makes perfect sense for the Bengals not to rush Green back for no reason. Whether they finish 1-15 or 2-14 really makes no difference at all, but Burrow will need Green at 100 percent for a smooth transition to the pros.

  1. I’m not a fan but that whole team is a mess and I really think if they spend a first pick on a QB with Andy Dalton right there then they aren’t very smart the first thing they need to do is find a coach because the one they have is the biggest problem on the team then they need to put together a O-line to protect Andy then they need some weapons for Andy to throw too!!! That whole team needs an overhaul but the one thing it doesn’t need is a QB!!!
