Ben Simmons’ Girlfriend Maya Jama Responds Amid 76ers Drama (Video)

Ben Simmons is locked in a brutal stalemate with the Philadelphia 76ers. He wants off the team – badly. They have an asking price in mind for him and they’re refusing to budge off it. He tried holding out. They responded by exerting major financial pressure on him.

The feud has manifested itself in Simmons treating Sixers staff quite poorly, and various players publicly disrespecting Simmons.

It a rough situation all the way around.

One person who has continued to stand by Simmons regardless of all the drama, though? His girlfriend, Maya Jama.

Recently, Jama showed off her feelings amid all this noise between Simmons and the 76ers.

Despite all the hate he has been receiving and controversy he has generated, clearly Simmons still has a lot of support from certain places – namely his partner.

Jama, for the uninitiated, is popular personality who boasts more than 2 million followers on Instagram.

All in all, it will be interesting to see where Simmons goes from here. There has been chatter of a blockbuster trade with the Los Angeles Clippers. And if that happens, it’ll be a win-win for most sides.

Simmons would get to go to LA, where he clearly wants to be, and the Clippers would get a star to pair with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. It’s a bit less clear what Philly would get, though.

If that trade doesn’t ultimately come to fruition, though – then things are going to get a hell of a lot more awkward for Simmons and the Sixers in the foreseeable future.
