Barstool Sports Kaepernick-Arabs Video Sparks Outrage

Barstool Sports sparked controversy this week when a recently-unearthed video of them discussing Colin Kaepernick sparked controversy.

In the video, Dave Portnoy, Dan ‘Big Cat’ Katz, and Kevin ‘KFC’ Clancy can be seen discussing Kaepernick and Arabs in a way that some on social media have defined as “problematic.”

Shortly after the video was brought to light, Portnoy and Clancy shared multiple examples of their brand actually defending Kaepernick. The intention, presumably, was to show that they are apolitical and don’t subscribe to any one particular philosophy.

Based on how much controversy Barstool Sports has elicited in the past and how loyal its fan base is, this latest kerfuffle is unlikely to do any real damage to the brand or anyone who participated in the video.
