Bailey Zappe started at quarterback for the New England Patriots in Sunday’s showdown against the Cleveland Browns, and he didn’t disappoint.
In a year where Mac Jones seemed to struggle even when he was healthy, his 23-year-old backup has inserted himself seamlessly into the starting rotation.
Zappe easily broke the 300-yard plateau against Cleveland, recording two touchdowns and no interceptions before the fourth quarter even commenced.
One person who was really excited to see Zappe do his thing? His girlfriend, Hannah Lewis.

While Lewis’ offerings haven’t yet reached the level of Baker Mayfield’s wife’s racy photos or Olivia Culpo’s wild pictures – she is getting there.
It will be fascinating to see where the Patriots go from here as far as their quarterback situation. Zappe quite clearly looks a lot better leading the offense this year than Jones did. Whether that’s a health thing or what is unclear, but the results speak for themselves.
When Jones gets fully right, head coach Bill Belichick will have some tough decisions to make. This is a situation very similar to what the Dallas Cowboys are experiencing with Dak Prescott and Cooper Rush, only Jones doesn’t have Prescott’s track record of individual success or massive contract.
If Zappe continues to thrive as he has up to this point, it will be very difficult to pull him.
And given that the entire Patriots dynasty of yesteryear was built on ditching a worse quarterback after his injury even if the unwritten rules don’t allow for it, Jones ought to be feeling very nervous right about now.

If Zappe continues to play like this, both he and his girlfriend will continue to get a lot more attention in the coming weeks.
Will he and Lewis be Mr. and Mrs. Starting quarterback of the Patriots come season’s end?
